Damn, wish I was this versed in the ways of NES-que music...
2 years later, and I still don't know why these guys didn't blow up here. They're due for a new album though, so who knows what might happen this year.
Not much to say today, but The Cansecos, a great electropop outfit from Toronto, finally posted some more new songs from their forthcoming album
Juices! on their
myspace page. "If Things Are Gonna Change" is my favorite, but apparently it's destined to be a b-side. If that's the case, I can't wait to hear the tracks they decide to keep.
So I finally got around to going somewhere with the Outdoors Club yesterday- we spent a good 4 hours hiking through Shenandoah, and despite the wind and a couple of wrong turns, it was a great time. To see some of the other resultant pictures, go
hier.
I still don't know what to make of this semester yet, but Technosonics seems like a pretty good class, if only for the fact that I'll be getting graded for what I'd be doing in my free time anyway.
Speaking of which, it's been extremely slim pickings new music-wise for a couple of weeks now, so I'll leave you with these:
Heh heh, yeah, I see it too.
I can't wait for this CD.
Oh, and I found a pretty good
video of Q & Not U from their earlier days playing Air Conditions in what looks vaguely like a Chinese restaurant....careful, it's loud.
The prospect of another semester became immeasurably sweeter today when I remembered that I won't be having Friday classes. I'm not sure, but I probably won't be able to handle the sheer awesomeness of it all. What I do know, however, is that no one reads this, so I'll just direct your attention downward:
Off the just-leaked Security Screenings EP, and luckily, better than most of Surrounded by Silence.
I forgot how good this cd was.
Yeah, it's shitty quality, but I'd love to hear what Wolf Parade could do with it.
